WEC Group, the UK’s largest fabrication and contract manufacturing firm, is excited to announce the strategic acquisition of Laser Profiles Ltd, a leading precision laser cutting company based near Bournemouth, Dorset. This acquisition aligns with WEC Group’s long-term growth strategy to expand its footprint across the UK and strengthen its market-leading position in contract manufacturing.
Founded in 2000, Laser Profiles Ltd has distinguished itself with bespoke laser cutting solutions for key supply chains in Southern England. This partnership aims to harness the strengths of both companies, enhancing production capabilities and service offerings across various industries.
Laser Profiles Ltd features advanced technology, including a fully automated Trumpf fibre laser for high-speed, high-quality cutting, and an Adige fibre tube laser for delivering round tubes, box sections, angles, and channels. Their capabilities also include a comprehensive suite of in-house fabrication services.
With this acquisition, Laser Profiles will benefit from WEC Group’s extensive resources, including 25 laser cutting machines, 23 press brakes, 3 waterjet cutting machines, high-definition plasma cutting machines, over 40 CNC machines, 200 skilled welders, 13 robotic welding cells, and full in-house powder coating and wet painting facilities. This integration will enhance Laser Profiles’ technological resources and market reach.
